We’re very excited to give you a more in-depth look at some of the new accessibility features that will be available in Overcooked! All You Can Eat. Check out our brand new trailer:
Overcooked! All You Can Eat is a delicious blend of Overcooked, Overcooked 2 and all DLC remastered and playable in 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series X – complete with online cross-platform multiplayer! With multiple game modes, seven new kitchens and three new chefs – bringing the total number of levels up to over 200 playable with 60 different chefs (128 if you count the alternate skins available!)
We know that you enjoy playing Overcooked! with your friends and family, so we wanted to make sure that Overcooked! All You Can Eat has options to allow for a less chaotic co-op cooking experience where desired!
Introducing: Assist Mode
This brand new mode, which is new to Overcooked! All You Can Eat, introduces a number of features to allow you to tailor your experience – perfect for new players, younger players, or for those of you who just want to cook without yelling! When starting a new game, you’ll have the option to select Assist Mode, which will include:
- Increased round timer
- Increased received score
- Increased time to create a recipe
You’ll also be able to toggle recipe timeouts on and off – no more failed orders!
Colour-blind Friendly Chef Indicators
To account for those players with colour-blindness, the in-game chefs will now be indicated by shapes as well as colour…
- Player one = blue, circle
- Player two = red, triangle
- Player three = green, square
- Player four = yellow, hexagon
We actually liked this feature so much that we decided to keep it on permanently!
Within the accessibility options menu, you can select dyslexia-friendly text for all dialogue boxes.
We’ve also added an option in the accessibility menu that allows you to adjust the size/scale of text in the following places:
- Menu descriptions
- Legend text
- Team management menu
On top of all this, we’ve completely overhauled our menu systems to offer seamless navigations between the games and DLC.
There’s a huge variety of chefs in Overcooked! All You Can Eat, so we’ve completely changed the chef selection screen. Here you can see all 60 chefs (including two new secret ones!) Each chef has 2-3 alternative skins, so that’s over 120 chefs in total!
We’ll be bringing you more information on what you can expect in Overcooked! All You Can Eat in the future. In the meantime, follow our social channels to make sure you’re always up to date!
