The Chrono Trap DLC has now arrived to both Epic Games Store and GOG! The DLC will be FREE only for a week, so be sure to pick it up before it’s too late!
In this update, we have also implemented a range of fixes for both the Epic Games Store and Steam versions of Neon Abyss. Keep reading to find out more!

Epic Games Store

The Chrono Trap DLC 

The Chrono Trap DLC brings a new Endless Mode and the Titan, Chronos, to Neon Abyss!

  • Endless Mode: Face down endless challenges and new elite monsters to unleash your full potential. It’s a perilous journey to your final battle against the all-powerful Chronos! How long will you last?
  • Chronos: Upon purchase of the Chrono Trap DLC, you will be able to challenge the new Chrono Titan in two different play modes!
  • How to begin the Chrono Trap adventure: There is a play mode switching device at the edge of the cliff by the bar. Change the mode to ‘Endless Mode’ to gain access

Bug Fixes for EGS Version:

  • Fixed the infinite loading screen issue after picking up Ticket-3.
  • Fixed an issue where you cannot interact with the dragon after picking up Ticket-4.
  • Fixed an issue where player is unable to speak to the metal dragon/becomes stuck in the level.
  • Fixed an issue where player could not continue run if they entered the secret level (Ticket-4).
  • Fixed an issue where a black screen occured between levels after defeating a boss
  • Fixed an issue where all seeds displayed as DBPZATFV on Heads-Up Display
  • Fixed an issue where owning the ‘Golden Spirit’ weapon with the ‘OLA! OLA! OLA!’ active ability causes a black screen.
  • Fixed an issue where placeholder characters are displayed for ‘On/Off’ text in rule nodes.
  • Fixed an issue where returning to the bar without interacting with the white flame resulted in a soft lock.

GOG

The Chrono Trap DLC has also been brought to GOG!

Remember to pick up the DLC before it’s too late! It will be FREE for a week, so be sure to pick it up before April 13th, 2022. 

Steam

Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback following the launch of the Chrono Trap DLC! Going forwards, we have implemented the following fixes to the game!

Patch Notes and Bug Fixes for Steam:

  • Fixed an issue where costumes cannot be unlocked.
  • Fixed an issue where two blank squares appear in the front end menu.
  • Fixed an issue with rebinded movement keys not working correctly at certain times.
  • Fixed an issue where the game freezes when using a skill with Death Ray.
  • Fixed placeholder characters being displayed for ‘On/Off’ text in rule nodes.
  • Fixed placeholders present in the Character menu.
  • Fixed DLC characters being available from the start.
  • Fixed returning to the bar without interacting with the white flame results in a softlock.
  • Fixed an issue where player became stuck/invisible after barrels exploded.
  • Fixed manager/enemies not spawning after defeating Chronos on Endless Mode.
  • Fixed an issue with Argus attack lines not appearing before being used.
  • Fixed an issue with becoming stuck within the dungeon.
  • Fixed an issue where no items spawn in the item room of the dungeon.
  • Fixed Mobs spawning in an inaccessible location.
  • Fixed an issue where players cannot highlight a character in Character Select menu.
  • Fixed an issue where items can drop and fall through the floor/be unattainable.
  • Fixed an issue where the Player cannot leave a room.
  • Fixed Treasure chests spawning another chest at the same time.
  • Fixed white box and blank description showing for an item the player picked up.
  • Fixed key bindings not working across every game scenario.
  • Fixed an issue where characters and descriptions didn’t match at times.
  • Fixed an issue where character/game freezes if using a controller when speaking to the Chief Engineer.
