What is Moving Out?
Moving Out is a fun physics-based moving simulator that brings new meaning to “couch co-op”! Play alone or with up to three friends in local co-op as you train to become a F.A.R.T (Furniture Arrangement Relocation Technician), taking on moving jobs all across the busy town of Packmore. 

Moving Out has been developed by the very talented folks at SMG Studio and DevM Games! 

 

Which platforms is Moving Out available on?
Moving Out is available on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Steam. 

 

Will the game be coming to GOG?
There are no plans to release Moving Out on GOG. 

 

When did Moving Out launch?
Moving Out launched on April 28th 2020 and will be available on PS4 in Asia and Japan on April 30th 2020. 

 

Can I buy a boxed copy?
Yes! You can pick up Moving Out in lovely shiny box for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One. Check with your preferred retailer for more info. 

 

How much is Moving Out?
£19.99 / €24.99 (€22.99 on Steam) / $24.99

Is any DLC available?
Yes, ‘The Employees of the Month’ pack gives you four extra movers to represent you on your journey to becoming a certified F.A.R.T! 

 

 

I didn’t receive my free DLC, what should I do?
All digital pre-orders for Moving Out were eligible for this bonus. This content will download in addition to the main game and can be installed on your PC or console to add the movers into your roster!

Please note: There was no digital pre-order available on PS4, but if you purchase the game from the PS Store within two weeks of launch you will automatically receive the extra content.

If you did not receive a code for your bonus DLC with your physical pre-order, please contact your retailer directly. Please note: not all retailers were offering the pre-order bonus.

 

Can I remap my keys? On both keyboard and controller?
You can fully remap your keyboard on PC. There are multiple layout presets for controllers.

 

Is there mouse support?
Yes, on PC. 

 

Will the game be released for Linux?
We do not have plans to release Moving Out for Linux. 

 

Does the game support Steam Remote Play Together?
Yes, and the demo supports this too! More info on Steam Remote Play Together, HERE. 

Can I move faster when carrying heavy objects if I am playing solo?
You won’t move faster but carrying heavy objects will be easier when playing solo. 

 

I want to play this game with my kids, are there difficulty settings?
Moving Out has an ‘Assist Mode’, allowing you to adjust the gameplay to suit all levels of player. You can adjust time limits and toggle on reduced difficulty, for example. More info on Assist Mode, HERE.

 

I am dyslexic, are there accessibility features in game? 

Yes! Along with the option to toggle on dyslexic-friendly text, there’s an option to adjust UI text, change the control scheme on controller and remap keys on keyboard for PC, and have subtitled speech.

Is there a demo?
Yes, a free demo is available now on Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Steam!

 

How many levels are in the demo?
Four – these are a selection of different levels to give you a feel for what you can expect in the full game! 

 

Is there an end date for the demo?
No, there is no end date. 

 

Will my demo progress carry over into the full game?
No. The demo is a collection of random levels rather than the first levels in the game. These levels have also been tweaked slightly since the demo was finished.
